This wooden ramp is made to measure so your robot vacuum can reliably cross door thresholds, high door tracks and small floor transitions up to 10 cm. Height, width, depth and incline are adapted to your situation on site. This lets the robot connect rooms independently without you having to carry it.

Why a ramp makes your robot vacuum more independent

Modern robot vacuums and mopping robots often return to the station several times during one cleaning run: to empty the dust container, wash the mop, refill fresh water, dispose of dirty water or recharge. With a suitable ramp, the robot can reach rooms, thresholds, steps and the station by itself. Cleaning can run while you are away, and you do not have to move the robot or help it in between.

Complete map — full app control

Modern robot vacuums and mopping robots map your entire home during their first run. That map is the foundation for all smart features: selecting individual rooms to clean, setting no-go zones, scheduling room-by-room cleaning and sending the robot exactly where you want it via the app.

If the robot cannot reach certain rooms in a single run because thresholds or steps are in the way, the map stays incomplete — or the affected areas are treated as separate floors. This has real consequences:

  • Room selection in the app stops working or only works partially, because part of your home is missing from the map
  • No-go zones and room schedules cannot be set up for all areas
  • The robot can no longer find its docking station reliably — automatic emptying, mop washing and mid-run recharging all fail
  • Cleaning runs have to be interrupted and restarted instead of running fully automatically

With a ramp bridging your thresholds and steps, the robot can travel through your entire home without interruption. Only then does it map everything correctly — so smart features like room selection, no-go zones and fully automatic cleaning runs work as intended.

Custom width, segmented for large ramps

threshold ramps and step ramps can be ordered in the width you need. For especially wide ramps, we divide the ramp into matching segments for logistical reasons. This makes shipping, handling and installation easier without limiting the usable width on site.

Which robot vacuums are suitable?

The ramp is designed for common robot vacuums and mopping robots. For all common models except Roborock S7 and Ecovacs, 15 degrees is the right compact standard incline. For Roborock S7 and Ecovacs, we recommend 10 degrees.

  • Roborock S and Q series: 15 degrees, except Roborock S7 with 10 degrees.
  • Dreame L series: 15 degrees.
  • iRobot Roomba i and j series: 15 degrees.
  • Ecovacs Deebot: 10 degrees.
  • Xiaomi, eufy, Mova, Medion and comparable models: 15 degrees.

If you need to cross a higher single step rather than a door threshold, the robot vacuum step ramp up to 30 cm is the better choice.

Also for sloping thresholds

If your threshold is higher on one side than the other, we can build the ramp accordingly. A smooth transition is created between both sides. This helps with uneven thresholds, uneven floors or older doorways.

Fixing: stable without drilling

To keep the ramp stable, it should be secured against slipping at the installation point. Double-sided mounting tape, anti-slip tape or fixed bonding with suitable mounting adhesive can be used.

  • Mounting tape is already applied; remove the protective film and place the ramp in position.
  • Anti-slip tape improves grip while keeping the ramp removable.
  • Mounting tape adds only minimal height and does not have to be considered when measuring.
  • With anti-slip tape, the height is considered in production.

Special case: robotic mowers and outdoor use

For robotic mowers, this threshold ramp is normally not the right outdoor solution. If a mower needs to cross a step, a screen-printed plywood step ramp is usually more suitable. Outdoors, sealed cut edges and a firm surface where water cannot stand are required.

Custom dimensions, wood species and finish

Besides height, width, depth and incline, you can choose the wood species and finish to match your home. Depending on the configuration, spruce, beech, BauBuche and oak are available.

For the finish, you can choose natural sanded wood, clear oil, brown oil or clear lacquer. Natural is suitable if you want to oil or lacquer the ramp yourself. Oil emphasises the wood look and protects the surface indoors. Clear lacquer seals the wood more strongly and is useful if the ramp is cleaned more often or may come into contact with moisture, dirt or stronger temperature changes.

Coloured lacquer finishes are available on request, for example white, cream, grey or black. Special RAL colours are possible depending on quantity and design.

For permanently weather-exposed outdoor areas, the classic wooden threshold ramp is not the first choice. If moisture or outdoor use matters, a screen-printed plywood solution is usually more suitable.

Measure height, width and available depth as accurately as possible. The measuring instructions show the most important measuring points. If the threshold is unusual, you can send us photos or a sketch via contact.

Lead time, natural wood and tolerances

Every ramp is made individually. The usual lead time is 2 to 8 working days. You can find details under shipping and delivery.

Wood is a natural material. Colour differences, grain and natural irregularities are possible and are a sign of real wood. Wood also moves with changes in temperature and humidity. Small dimensional deviations are typical for the material and are not a defect.
